About Us

The Propeller Club, Chapter is a civic, social and charitable organization that promotes maritime commerce in the Puget Sound region. A vibrant and strong club with a membership of nearly 200 from diverse sectors of the industry, we’ve donated more than $11,000 to the Sea Scouts and the S.S. Propeller, the Catholic Seamen’s Club, and other maritime causes in the past year.

Each year in May we sponsor the Seattle Maritime Festival, which includes the world’s largest tugboat races and other family-friendly events. We also put on the annual Steamship Dinner, which brings together a broad spectrum of the waterfront community. The Annual Propeller Club Golf Tournament raises money for our charitable donations. The Propeller Club roster is published annually and provides an excellent resource for networking on the waterfront.

I am a high school senior and will be attending college next year. I have an interest in engineering as well as potentially applying those skills in the marine industry after I graduate. Does your organization offer any scholarships for college students?
