Maritime Festival 2011 Awards Luncheon

We opened the June 15th awards luncheon with a tribute to Carla Martin, Seattle Propeller Club member and Board of Directors chairperson. Carla will be greatly missed, if you would like to leave a note with the family, you may do so on the CaringBridge.org website.

This awards luncheon was sponsored by Vigor Shipyards. Below is John Lockwood’s presentation on the transition of the company, formerly known as Todd Shipyard, and its many strengths as the company moves forward.

The seventh annual Norm Manly Youth Maritime Training Association (YMTA) Maritime Educational Scholarship competition was held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Compass Course Maritime Training. YMTA is very proud to announce the six Washington State High School seniors awarded the 2011 YMTA and the Pacific Maritime Magazine Scholarships: Sarah Deland, Paul Van Dyke, Angelica Janda, Rose Hendrix, Melissa Allen,  Madeleine Wolczko
